Recorded in front of a live, sold-out, raucous audience at Oakland, CA's famed Yoshi's nightclub, this project, produced by the late Bud Spangler, is a heart-felt tribute to the great Lou Rawls. Lou passed on January 6th, 2006 and is still considered to be one of the best male blues/jazz singers to ever take a mic in-hand. Certainly one of the best live performers of the genre.

This outing features many of Rawls's greatest hits, including: "Tobacco Road", "Lady Love", "God Bless The Child", "The Shadow Of Your Smile", the number one hit, "You'll Never Find (Another Love Like Mine)" and "I'd Rather Drink Muddy Water" from his collaboration with the great Les McCann.

The set features a stellar assemblage of players; pianist-Glen Pearson, alto saxophonist-Charles McNeal, bassist-Nelson Braxton and drummer-Jason Lewis.
